LIFE EXPERIENCE

My Story

Originally from New Zealand I am a farmers son who completed a Bachelor of Management Studies at Waikato University in the mid 80’s.

Awarded a Queen Elizabeth II Scholarship to attend University and then employed as a Business Cadet by Ceramco New Zealand Ltd.

Worked across several Ceramco business in Australia and New Zealand in sales, marketing and business unit management. Lead my first team with full profit and loss responsibilty at 23 years old.

Permanently moved to Australia with Ceramco in the late 80’s.

Worked at the Galore Group (ASX) for almost ten years initially marketing, then business unit management and general management of the industrial division.

Completed an Executive Master of Business Administration at the Australian Graduate School of Management UNSW.

Worked at Mercuri Urval a Swedish based business consultancy for 10 years – running the ANZ business of 12 consultants and support team.

Established my own business consulting in 2005 which become Agilo Executive – this continues to operate today.

LIFE BALANCE

Personally

Personality wise I am street smart and practical. I am lucky that my common sense and hard work has enabled me to forge a career I love.

Family wise I am married and we have two children (23 and 19)

Sports – played Rugby Union, Cricket, Golf, Sailing, Tennis, Cross Country, Ultra Marathons, Tramping and Fly Fishing, will watch anything!

Today I train daily at the beach with 20 others, go to the gym, run the odd fun run and I’m in training for my Bronze at Whale Beach Surf life Saving Club.

I do love work – nothing is more rewarding than seeing others achieve things they have never done or thought they could never do!
